Stirog / Prasutitantra

Prasutitantra –Strirog is a imperative branch of ayurveda. Prasutitantra mainly deals with preconception care (Beejshuddhi) , antenatal care (Garbhini Paricharya), Postnatal care (Sutika Paricharya). Striroga mainly deals with management of gynaecological (Gynaecology) disorders.
Prasutitantra- Strirog department concern about ayurvedic as well as modern aspect of all gynaecological disorders, Intrauterine development of fetus, child birth, puerperium etc. All the necessary teaching material available for conducting UG practicals and clinics.

AdIntroduction of Department

1 )PTSR department has its well developed OPD , IPD , Labour room with Procedure room & Operation Theatre.
2)Department has its own departmental library, charts, specimen and model for students education.

Available facilities for patients are as below

1) Beejashuddhi and Garbhasanskar for suprajanan (pre conceptional care)
2) Garbhini paricharya (Antenatal care), Prasav Paricharya
3) Sutika Paricharya (Post natal care) – Special diet, procedure and exercise
4) Diagnosis and managment of menstrual disorders
5) Panchakarma
6) Sthanik chikista ( gynecological local procedure )
Yonidhawan, yonipichu, yonidhupan, kshar pratisarn, yonivarti and uttarbasti.
7) ayurvedic treatment for male and female infertility
8) Ayurvedic chikista for sukhaprasav
9) Normal labour and LSCS
10) Gynecological operatives like – hysterectomy, endometrial biopsy, cervical boipsy, polypectomy, cervical encirclage, D & C, marsupulisation, etc
11) Pap smear test
12) Cu-T (copper T) insertion
13) Special clinic for menopause

OBJECTIVES

• Giving thorough clinical and practical knowledge of PTSR to students and make them confident in consultation and counseling.
• Creating awareness about different ayurvedic treatment modalities for many gynecological problems.
• Promote ayurvedic treatment protocol for today’s burning issues like PCOS, infertility, obesity , peri and post menopausal symptoms.
• To promote scientific garbhasanskar program and garbhini paricharya program in community.
• Explore panchakarma and sthanik chikista and to implement standard operative procedure (SOP) for various therapeutic procedure related to prasutitantra and streeroga
• Department regularly conducts clinical meetings to enhance the students knowledge
• Department is consistently involved in updating the students knowledge through classroom teaching, audio visual learning, group discussion, classroom demonstration, etc.
