Agadtantra Evum Vidhi Vaidyaka Department deals mainly with the study of Clinical aspects of Agadtantra and Toxicology as well as application of professional skills of forensic medicine & Medical Jurisprudence in handling medico legal issues at 2nd professional year of B.A.M.S.
Department is recognized as PG center by NCISM, New Delhi & MUHS, Nashik. At present, PG intake capacity of department is 3, total no. of enrolled PGs are 9 & no. of PG students qualified as M.D. (Agadtantra) are 38. Department is also recognized as Ph.D. center by MUHS, Nashik. Being a Clinical Department, we have VishaChikitsaOPD& 5 beds IPD at present that mainly deals with the diagnosis & treatment of Poisoning conditions due to GaraVisha & Dushi Visha.

Department is well equipped with Museum, Tutorial Hall, PG Section and Staff room as per NCISM norms
Museum:
1. Department museum has 210 self-explaining models, 331 specimens of various poisonous drugs & antidotes and 76 informative and educational charts.
2. Specimens of Plant poisons, Animal poisons & Mineral poisons are well categorized & displayed separately in display rack along with their information.
Departmental Library:
Department has 128 Textbooks & Reference books, 123 PG Dissertations & 16 Diploma Thesis.
Departmental Activities:
1. Educational Visits: Regular Educational Visits are organized to visit Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Nagpur, Research Laboratory, CIIMS, Nagpur, Forensic Science Institute, Nagpur, Animal House at Government Veterinary College Nagpur, Snake Park etc. Autopsy demonstration study is conducted at Government Medical College, Nagpur for UG & PG students.2. Departmental Seminars: Departmental Seminars for UG & PG students are regularly organized.
3. Research Work: 53 Research Articles are published by departmental Faculties in renowned International Peer reviewed/Indexed Journals.
Teaching Methodologies:
Departmental faculties are well acquainted with advance teaching technologies including use of Audio- Video aids, LCD Projectors, modern teaching techniques and innovative ideas to make learning easier and interesting. Department has computer with printer & is fully equipped with high speed Wi-Fi internet connectivity.
