Department of Rachana Sharir
(Human Anatomy)
UG, PG & Ph.D. Department of Rachana Sharir stands as one of the important Pillar of Ayurveda. It deals with the study of structure of the Human body. Rachana Sharir emphasizes both sookshmasharir (Microscopic & Histological Anatomy) & sthool sharir (Gross Anatomy). This department deals with the concepts such as Asthi (Bones), Peshi (muscles), Seera (veins), Dhamani (arteries), Strotas (channels), Marma sharir (Vital point) etc. Rachana Sharir Department have well equipped Rachana Sharir Museum & Marma Museum, Demonstration Room and Dissection Hall with exhaust fan. The dissection hall includes adequate number of Full size & half size dissection tables and two cadaver storage tanks. There are sufficient number of cadavers, 151 specimens, 42 models & 121 Charts are available in the department. There are 156 books in Departmental Library. There are spacious Tutorial Room for PG & Ph.D. students with LCD Projector. 96 PG Scholars admitted out of which 80 PG Students have awarded M.D. Total 12 students are admitted for Ph.D. amongst them five Scholars have awarded P.h.D.

Departmental Activities
- As per NCISM Regulation, Ist Professional BAMS Students visited GMC, Nagpur & AIIMS, Mihan, Nagpur for their curriculum visit to Museum, Dissection Hall, Synthetic cadaver, Histological museum and Genetic Laboratory, etc.
- On National Organ Donation Day, Rachana Sharir Department have arranged a Body Painting Competition by Ist Professional BAMS Students on 3rd August 2024.
- Rachana Sharir Department conducted Bone Painting Activity by Ist Professional BAMS Students.
- Models & Charts are prepared by Ist Professional BAMS Students under Evaluation Methods.
- UG & PG Scholars participated in Museum Development Activity. Lecture was organized on Importance of Organ Donation on World Organ Donation Day on 13th August 2024.
